On June 7th, 2014, I got to marry my best friend. We got engaged in January 2013 while he was living in Scotland, and I took the next 15 months to plan my mostly do-it-yourself dream wedding. I didn't grow up dreaming of my perfect wedding, but I knew I wanted my best friends to be comfortable and buy a dress they would wear again. I knew I wanted the colors to be black, white and gold with hints of red. I knew I wanted the cake to be delicious, the food to be fantastic and for our closest friends and family to dance the night away.
I am a meeting/conference planner by trade, but have always had dreams of planning weddings and events. After planning my own wedding, it confirmed what I always thought, that planning special events is my true passion.
